We've been out and about in search of the best new openings and hidden gems in London. Here's our pick of the best bars to try this month.

NY-LON AT THE O2, GREENWICH
O2WEB_NY_LON_header_950x260-1Situated in the entertainment district of The O2, NY-LON will offer a new destination for less formal business meetings, as well as a base for employee and corporate entertaining, social events and parties. The lounge has capacity for a maximum of 300 guests and features a large bar and seating area. In addition there is a discreet private event space for smaller occasions.

 

THE PIANO WORKS, FARRINGDON

IMG_7855-1080x675Two pianists and a band will play visitors’ favourite songs throughout the night, and to keep people going, cocktails and food will be available throughout the evening. It’s another large venue, accommodating up to 400 customers, and open until 1am each night.

GANSEVOORT HOTEL, SHOREDITCH EC2The rooftop bar at NYC Gansevoort Hotel in the super cool Meatpacking district is all breathtaking views, beautiful people and party cocktails. The good news is they’re planning to recreate this vibe (complete with the rooftop pool!) in their upcoming Shoreditch hotel, due to open later this year.

 

KILBURN IRONWORKS, KILBURN HIGH ROAD NW6
Kilburn Ironworks   Delicious food  amazing drinks  good times and great vibes.The guy who brought us Wax Jambu is opening a multi-level venue and bringing drinking, dining and a cosy fireplace to North London. With artisan ales, local beers, premium spirits and hand forged cocktails, along with a tasty grill menu and sharing boards, this place sounds much cosier than the name implies!

 

MIDNIGHT APOTHECARY, THE BRUNEL MUSEUM SE16

Midnight Apothecary: a summery campfire cocktail bar on the rooftop of London’s Brunel Museum (overlooking the Thames) where, when possible, ingredients are picked from the very same garden you can sit in whilst toasting marshmallows over an intimate fire and listening to live music.
