Our Favourite Spring Wedding Trends for 2017

Pure Romance

If you want to max out the romance on your wedding day you could go for a romantic wedding theme, with soft, lace details and a cosy candlelit reception. This theme works well in both rustic and more formal venues, giving you endless possibilities when it comes to choosing your design details, from table centres and runners to decorations for that all-important aisle. Romantic weddings love flowers, particularly in neutral and blush tones. Tie that bouquet with a pretty ribbon and you’re all set.

Colour Pop

This is a bright, bold wedding theme perfect if you want to make a big impression on your big day. We love this theme; it gives you free reign to be as creative as you like, and of course there’s plenty of fun to be had with a bright and colourful wedding style. Start with a tropical spring bouquet with the brightest of blooms, and mimic these throughout your chosen venue with bright and daring details. Think pompom garlands, brightly coloured table runners and plenty more tropical flowers to bring the look together. A few hints of monochrome would be a great accompaniment to your bright decorations too. You can forget the traditional white wedding cake, instead go for something more fun, coated in jewel-like sweets and meringues, and icing aplenty.

Metallic

‘All that glitters’ is always a popular choice for wedding styling, and this year will be no exception. Instead of sparkles, this year it’s all about metallic wedding décor, from metallic paper decorations lining the walls, to rose gold scripted balloons and copper tableware and cutlery. The metallic look goes perfectly with plenty of greenery, like fern walls and traditional floral table centres. A gilt frame for your table plan will set it all off perfectly.

Rustic

The rustic wedding look is always a popular choice, and it’s set to remain so in 2017. Inspired by natural, countryside living, rustic wedding styling is another great choice for couples looking to use their own creativity to make the theme their own. Going for a rustic look gives you plenty of opportunities to DIY the décor, from table decorations right through to outdoor furnishings. Vintage-inspired prints, lush florals and soft colour palettes work well with rustic wedding styles.
