Gemma Banks, our Head of Creativity, gives us the rundown on three of her favourite themes for Christmas this year.
Take a walk on the wild side and do something a little different this Christmas. We’ve put together Pinterest boards for each of these Christmas party themes, to help inspire you for …
Scandi Christmas
I’ll admit it…I cant get enough of the clean stylings on Scandinavian design. With this theme I would have a wood panelled bar serving traditional Glogg (Mulled Wine). There would be long wooden tables & benches covered in cosy ‘hide’ throws & blankets for dinner. The tables would be decorated with red & white checkered runners & napkins and candles set in rustic tree trunk holders and glass bottles. I would create a wall of white paper snowflakes (this would also double up as an excellent photo booth background).
In the centre of the room I would set up a huge pine tree covered in white fairy lights and white felt Christmas themed decorations
The pièce de résistance… Pepperkaker iced biscuits hanging from large decorated branch display
Chocolate Box Christmas
For this theme we’d start the night with serving chocolate orange martinis served from a luxurious gold mirrored bar. The tables would be set with linen in deep teal green with rich, mulberry coloured napkins and the centrepieces would be vintage candelabra entwined with ivy & winter jasmine with oodles of gold candles.
I’d decorate the ceiling/pillars/walls decorated with chocolate wrapper coloured paper lanterns in red, purple, gold, green, fuschia, blue…and lush evergreen leaves. Poseur tables and shelves would be decorated with deep glass apothecary jars filled with wrapped Christmas chocolates.
Neon Christmas
The focus of the room would be a circular pink led lit bar serving Douglas Fir flavoured gin & tonics. There would be a huge neon sign saying ‘baby its cold outside’ on the wall. The dinner table would be set with a white Indian cotton table cloth and dip dyed napkins in bright pink, yellow & green.
The long banqueting tables would have LED strip lights running down the middle and we’d create custom place setting with spray painted pine-cones to hold the name-cards. For this theme, nothing would be too bright.. think Gods Own Junkyard meets Christmas.
