A celebration of the most decadent kind

Ampersand were delighted to be the chosen caterer for the Institute of Water’s President’s Dinner 2012 at Banqueting House.
This prestigious occasion celebrates the water industry’s greatest achievements over the past year.

The Ampersand Team recommended the venue for its unique gravitas which would complement the occasion perfectly, especially when guests dined under the dramatic ceiling painted by Rubens.

My only problem – I have to live up to these standards next year

The Event

This was Ampersand’s first event at the venue and it was a superb occasion for all. 300 guests enjoyed a champagne reception in the Undercroft  followed by a delicious menu of slow confit of Scottish salmon, nori seaweed, shaved fennel & miso dressing to start, followed by roast & confit barbary duck with bok choi & spiced Oriental jus and to top off the night a scrumptious pavlova of summer fruits with passion fruit coulis & crème anglaise.

Our client was delighted and commented:

"Thank you for a superb event. All feedback has been phenomenal and [the President] has asked me to pass on his sincere thanks.  The food was superb, service was excellent and the whole event was delivered professionally and effectively.
My only problem – I have to live up to these standards next year in Edinburgh!
